This is because at sunrise, hormones that transform food into energy are most active. This is why a protein rich breakfast speeds up the metabolism process and also helps in reducing cravings. Go in for a breakfast that includes eggs, lean meat, low fat cheese and protein smoothies.

Avoid weekend indulge
Just because you have been working out throughout the week or following a well balanced diet, does not give you a reason to indulge over the weekend. You could sweep away all the hard work that you have put in through the week with your weekend indulgence. Weekend splurging alone can be a cause of you putting on weight.
