Exercises for Slim Thighs

Bulky thighs are more common with women all over the world. Even the most advanced weight loss formulas fail to reduce the excessive fat present around the thigh region. But, one thing could help you achieve slimmer and tighter thighs and that is exercise.

There are certain exercises that are known to slim down the thighs considerably. Let's take a look at some of these exercises that could help you reduce fat around the thighs.

Squats- The best thigh slimming exercise is squats. If moderately practiced, squats will gradually tone up your thigh and buttock region. Therapists recommended that you perform squats every three days in a week.

Aerobic exercises- joining aerobics classes is another great idea. Most of the aerobic exercises help reduce the fat in the thigh region. Your instructor would be able to guide you about such aerobic exercises.

Skipping- Rope skipping is long known to be a very healthy exercise for all. It helps in reducing weight and especially that present in the thigh region. Skip for 10 minutes, 3-4 times a week and watch your thigh getting back in shape.

Swimming- Swimming is a good calorie burner in all respects. Swim backwards using your legs and thus reduce the excessive fat present over your thigh region.

Brisk walking- The importance of walking as an inevitable exercise is known to all. If you walk fast for 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week; your thighs can actually get slimmer in no time.

Dumbbell lunges- Stand straight with your feet shoulder width apart. Hold dumbbells in both your hands. Let your body loose so that the dumbbells hang down offering increased resistance. Now, put your right foot forward. Bend in your knees so that you can lower your body as much as possible. Now alternate with the right leg. Repeat this ten to fifteen times.

Leg raises- This is another simple exercise that can help you lose weight from thighs. Lie down on the floor. Inhale and lift your leg up. Exhale and bring it down. When you bring your leg down stop it at 1 to 2 inches above the floor. Keep it there for as long as possible before you bring it down on the floor.

Exercise bike- Why not cycling and why exercise is because, you can bet exercise your thighs if your pedal while standing rather than sitting. Using an exercise bike in that position will help you have slimmer thighs.

Apart from these general thigh slimming exercises, there are a few specific exercises too that could be really helpful.

* Stand straight with your feet wide apart.
* Starting from your waist; bend forward.
* Tilt towards your right in a way that you clasp your ankle with both your hands.
* Count till 20 while you stay in the position.
* Come back to the first position and repeat the same steps towards your left side.

So, even if you have those bulky thighs, don't worry! You could easily get rid of them by taking up any of the above stated exercises. They would help you flaunt slimmer  and trimmer thighs without having to go on a diet or follow a weight loss program.
