As per the south beach diet one should eat carbohydrate foods with a low glycemic index and fats that do not raise blood cholesterol. The South Beach diet has several other similarities with several other diets, including Atkins, low-carbohydrate, and low-glycemic-index diets.

High fiber diet
As the name suggests this diet focuses on eating food that are rich in fiber. Fiber can broadly be classified into two categories: water soluble and water insoluble.
